Something Cool On A Hot Day

Summer came a bit early this year, so we’ve come up with a few ways to keep you cool.  For great Iced Coffee, here is what you need to do:

To start, you’ll need to make a concentrate.

What’s Needed?

  1. Nonreactive container (like a stainless-steel stockpot)
  2. Medium strainer or sieve
  3. Fine strainer or sieve (or cheese cloth lined in the medium strainer)
  4. (2) 32oz mason jars with lids for storing the concentrate

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Reggies Roast Coffee, French Press ground
  • 10 cups of cold water

Here’s What To Do:

  1. Put coffee in the container
  2. Add 2 cups of water, stirring gently to wet the grounds
  3. Add the remaining 8 cups of water, agitating the grounds as little as possible
  4. Cover and leave at room temperature for 12 hours
  5. Strain the coffee concentrate through a medium sieve
  6. Strain again, this time through the fine-mesh sieve
  7. ENJOY! The coffee can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
